When I made the mane the way the pattern called for, it came out sort of like a hairnet.<BR/><BR/>I think if you used a loop stitch the way it is shown on www.knittinghelp.com , it might turn out okay.<BR/><BR/>In the end, I just cut lengths of yarn, tied them around individual stitches, and unplied them so they made a mane that looked more like doll hair than like the photo in the V&A pattern.
