For a good friend, who helped me out of the kindness of his heart last year. He also happens to have a thing for sock monkeys - of the sewn Red Heel persuasion. Little does he know this li'l feller's soon to be sitting on his doorstep ;) Hopefully he'll play nice with all the other ones.
Pattern's from YvonneKnits at etsy.com.
very inventory :)
ReplyDeleteI love him! I'm going to yvonne's etsy site to order the pattern. You did a wonderful job with him and his new owner is going to be ecstatic. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI think this turned out fantastic! I love it. I too have a thing for sock monkeys of the red heeled variety :)
ReplyDeleteJude ~ what yarn did you use for your sock monkey? The speckled brown is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the props, everyone! Love knitting toys ;)
ReplyDeleteSue: I used Sirdar Snuggly Doubleknit, in the Muffin colorway, double-stranded throughout. I was super picky on finding the right yarn for the brown body - I really wanted to make it look like Red Heel sock! The red and cream colors are Berroco Ultra Alpaca, single-stranded. Hope that helps!
