A Great Beginner Toy

I designed this knit block to be a first project for the local chaper of International MOMS Club. Each face has a different stitch pattern with increasing difficulty. It was a fun little project, and I hope it gets lots of play time in my home... so much better than the plastic toys around here!

You can find a picture of the toy in action, and the pattern on my blog Jofrog is Knitfrog.

Now, that is DIVINE! I'm totally going to have to make stacks of these! :) Thanks for sharing! (this looks like a GREAT way to start using up those yarn remnants I've begun collecting.)

I love those blocks! I've seen patterns for them in different baby knitting pattern books that I have. Like Hannah mentioned, it's also a great way to use up the yarn remnants. Lovely!

What a great idea! I think it's so nice to have something functional while learning, so I love this.

What a great toy for a little one. And the variations would be endless. Different coloured sides, different patterns, different sizes.
